What's this? Susan and I read and talk about a lot of articles over the week, some business related, some not. Susan had the brilliant idea of sharing them every so often. Here's this week's list!

• The In Focus blog over at The Atlantic consistently has some of the most beautiful photographs I've ever seen. Earlier this week they had a fabulous round-up of both beautiful and scary photos of the cold snap in Europe.
• Why does Arnold Bread have forty different kinds of bread? Placement, that marketing principle everyone forgets about. (The 4 ps of marketing are: price, product, placement, and promotion.)
• Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
• Pinterest is quietly modifying links so they get affiliate fees. (eg, if you pin something to Amazon's website, they add their tracking code so if that item gets bought, pinterest gets paid.) This is the first I've heard about this, and I don't know how true it is. I find it ....interesting.
• We are so incredibly excited about Etsy's new direct checkout. We've already signed up so we'll be notified the instant we can implement it in our store.
